D.R. Horton’s Wheaton model home opens in Naples Reserve
D.R. Horton’s first single-family model home is now open in the Savannah Lakes neighborhood at Naples Reserve, a 688-acre lakefront community featuring Southern Coastal-inspired architecture and resort-style amenities.
Emphasizing an open floor plan between the great room, kitchen and dining area, the Wheaton offers three bedrooms, a den, three full baths and a powder room. With 2,540 square feet of living space the model features coastal contemporary interior design by Mercedes Lopez of One of a Kind Design.
The Wheaton also offers a three-car garage and a lanai, accessible from sliding glass doors in the great room.
The model is shown with several options, including an extended lanai, an aquarium glass window in the dining room, a pool bath and a screen-enclosed pool and raised spa with a spillway.
Base pricing for the Wheaton starts at $429,990.
The Wheaton and a neighboring model currently under construction will serve as D.R. Horton’s sales center at Naples Reserve.
The Wheaton model home features tray ceilings in the foyer, great room and master bedroom and ceramic tile in bathroom flooring and showers. White walls and ceilings are paired with gray, warm stone, silver mist and blue-gray accents.
The kitchen offers a freestanding breakfast island, a large walk-in pantry closet, smooth-top range and built-in microwave. Finishes include custom cabinetry in light silk, Santa Cecelia granite countertops and Heathland white rock ceramic tile.
The master suite has his-and-her walk-in closets and a bathroom offering a glass-enclosed shower, private water closet, and vanity with two sinks.
The floor plan offers 3,459 total square feet with additional floor plan options for a fourth bedroom.
The Wheaton is one of D.R. Horton’s five single-family home designs ranging from 2,368 to 3,461 square feet of living space in the Savannah Lakes neighborhood. The builder also offers five single-family floor plans in Egret Landing and will unveil low-maintenance twin villa plans in 2017 for the Coral Harbor neighborhood.
D.R. Horton’s homes in Naples Reserve offer a choice of two architectural elevations and include professional landscaping, irrigation, high-efficiency air conditioning systems, low-E insulated windows and doors and additional energy saving features.
The company is the largest homebuilder in the U.S. with 35 years of experience.
Naples Reserve was created by iStar, which was named 2015 Developer of the Year by Builder and Developer magazine for its commitment to creating exceptional communities and lifestyles with an emphasis on energy efficiency.
Complete with sweeping open water views, the community was created amongst 22 lakes that provide prime opportunities for kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding, as well as scenic vistas. Naples Reserve’s centerpiece 125-acre Eagle Lake features a large tiki hut on destination Kontiki Island and also offers a mile-long stretch of lakefront nestled against the Picayune Strand State Forest, a 76,000-acre state park with protected pinelands, cypress swamps, marshes and abundant wildlife.
Many of Naples Reserve’s amenities are now open. The Island Club offers a resort-inspired setting featuring an expansive pool with lap lane, beach volleyball and bocce ball courts, a fire pit, event lawn and the Chat ‘n Chill Tiki Bar. It also has a large beach along Eagle Lake, a 5,160-square-foot clubhouse with Latitudes Cafe and the community’s Welcome Center, and a separate 3,500-square-foot fitness center offering state-of-the-art equipment, a weight room and group fitness studio.
Also open is the Outrigger Center, evocative of Key West with its palette of white, turquoise and coral and a wraparound porch overlooking the lake. Paddleboards, kayaks and canoes are available for resident use. Guests can explore Eagle Lake and Kontiki Island aboard the community’s two Duffy boats, Tranquility and Little Skipper. The cruises depart from the Outrigger Center’s floating docks.
The community’s boat ramp and lakefront tennis and pickleball complex, Match Point, will open in the first quarter of 2017.
Additional planned amenities include a tot lot, two dog parks and a meandering linear park for biking, hiking and jogging. Navigating a loop road circling Naples Reserve, the park is designed to engage residents with their natural environment and provide an alternative mode of transportation throughout the community.
iStar recently introduced new preferred builders and additional neighborhoods, several offering the opportunity to build personal floating docks along Eagle Lake to enjoy paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, electric boats, as well as boats with motors up to 2.5-horsepower.
Naples Reserve residents receive complimentary one-year social memberships at Walker’s Hideaway Marina of Naples, a yacht club along the Gordon River offering a marina, indoor storage for 600 boats, two waterside restaurants, outdoor pool and sauna, and access to Naples Bay.
Naples Reserve is located off U.S. 41, 2 miles southeast of the Collier Boulevard/CR 951 intersection and 10 minutes from I-75, Exit 101. Visit the Outrigger Center at 14885 Naples Reserve Circle or online at www.naplesreserve.com.
