iStar has welcomed D.R. Horton Southwest Florida as a new preferred homebuilder at Naples Reserve, the award-winning developer’s 688-acre lakefront community in Naples.

“With the addition of D.R. Horton, we are proud to introduce a new villa product, as well as single-family homes at Naples Reserve,” said Don Mears, vice president/land and development for iStar, developer of Naples Reserve. “Their home designs will enhance Naples Reserve’s signature indoor-outdoor lifestyle.”

D.R. Horton has two models underway in the Savannah Lakes neighborhood: the 2,540-square-foot three-bedroom-and-den Wheaton plan and the 2,034-square-foot three-bedroom-and-den Delray plan.

“We are pleased to join Naples Reserve as a preferred builder,” said Jill Hoffman Meeks, vice president of sales and marketing of D.R. Horton’s Southwest Florida division. “We are looking forward to opening our models for the coming season.”

D.R. Horton has 10 floor plans available for selection, including one villa option. Available in the Coral Harbor neighborhood, the 1,519-square-foot, one-story Cambridge villa includes two bedrooms and a den, two baths and a two-car garage. D.R. Horton’s single-family homes are expected to be available in the Egret Landing and Savannah Lakes neighborhoods.

Single-family home floor plans offer one or two stories, 1,816 to 3,461 square feet of living space, and range from three bedrooms with two baths to four bedrooms and four-and-one-half baths. Options for a den, study and/or game room are also available for specific floor plans.

Pricing for the villa starts from the high-$200s, and single-family homes start from the low- to mid-$300s.

A leader in residential design, D.R. Horton has ranked as the largest homebuilder by volume in the United States for the past 14 consecutive years. Founded in 1978 in Fort Worth, Texas, the company has operations in 78 markets in 26 states across the U.S. Awarded the top spot on Builder magazine’s Builder 100 list since 2002 based on annual closings, D.R. Horton is a recognized homebuilder across the country.

Naples Reserve was created by iStar, which was named 2015 Developer of the Year by Builder and Developer magazine for its commitment to creating exceptional communities and lifestyles with an emphasis on energy efficiency.

Created amongst 22 lakes and sweeping open water views, the community emphasizes lakefront living with Southern Coastal-inspired homes and amenities along the water’s edge. Lakes provide prime opportunities for kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding and scenic vistas. The community’s centerpiece 125-acre lake features a large tiki hut on destination Kontiki Island and also offers a mile-long stretch of lakefront nestled against the Picayune Strand State Forest, a 76,000-acre state park with protected pinelands, cypress swamps, marshes and abundant wildlife.

Planned lakefront amenities at Naples Reserve include the under-construction Island Club, which will offer resort-inspired amenities, including two pools, beach volleyball and bocce ball courts, a 5,160-square-foot community center and a separate 3,500-square-foot fitness club. Residents will also enjoy a lakefront tennis and pickleball complex. The Island Club is scheduled to open in November 2016.

A meandering linear park will offer opportunities for biking, hiking and jogging. Navigating a loop road circling Naples Reserve, the park is designed to engage residents with their natural environment and provide an alternative mode of transportation throughout the community.

Naples Reserve residents receive complimentary one-year social memberships at Walker’s Hideaway Marina of Naples, a yacht club along the Gordon River offering a marina, indoor storage for 600 boats, two waterside restaurants, outdoor pool and sauna, and access to Naples Bay.

iStar has completed the community’s initial amenities, including the new gatehouse, an elevated cobblestone entry bridge and the Outrigger Welcome Center, evocative of Key West with its palette of turquoise, beige and white, and a wraparound porch overlooking the lake and floating docks.

Naples Reserve is located off U.S. 41, 2 miles southeast of the Collier Boulevard/CR 951 intersection and 10 minutes from I-75, Exit 101. Visit the Outrigger Welcome Center at 14891 Naples Reserve Circle or online at www.naplesreserve.com.
