KTS Homes sells first custom home at Naples Reserve
A Wisconsin couple, attracted by the sweeping lake views at Naples Reserve and the open floor plan of KTS Homes’ Newport model, has purchased the first custom home in the 688-acre community. The buyers, who are former clients of KTS owner Scott Kish II and seasonal Naples residents, selected the homebuilder and their home design after several visits to Naples Reserve, an iStar community featuring a water-centric lifestyle and Southern Coastal-inspired homes.
“They loved the transparency and the unobstructed views throughout the interior and outdoor living areas,” Kish said. “Pocketing glass and bi-folding doors open up the entire back of the house to the water.
“The husband is an avid golfer who plays different courses and, instead of living on a golf course, they wanted a water view,” said Kish. “They liked what they saw at Naples Reserve, and they found a homesite that gave them the best view.”
The $1.5 million private residence is being built in the Parrot Cay neighborhood along the 125-acre Eagle Lake. The 3,030-square-foot home offers three bedrooms, large outdoor living areas, and a 6-foot linear fireplace adjacent to the spa. The buyers are adding a wine cellar.
“Our floor plans are fully customizable,” said Kish. “If a client wants certain things changed, we can accommodate their lifestyle preferences.”
Kish expects the private home to be completed before the end of the year.
Naples-based KTS Homes’ floor plans at Naples Reserve emphasize clean-lined California coastal design, and upgrades such as dual-zone air-conditioning, dehumidifiers, gas ranges, steam ovens and outdoor kitchens are standard features. Its single-story Newport model, currently under construction, features a rambling U-shape design with a side-loading three-car garage and painted Bermuda shutters.
One of five preferred builders at Naples Reserve, KTS Homes was founded in 2013 and offers architectural design, general contracting, interior design service and an extensive background in the glass and glazing industry.
Naples Reserve is being developed by iStar, named 2015 Developer of the Year by Builder and Developer magazine for its commitment to creating exceptional communities and lifestyles with an emphasis on energy efficiency and environmentally friendly practices.
The community’s relaxed yet active lifestyle is enhanced by 22 lakes, including Eagle Lake offering a large tiki hut on the destination Lost Island and a mile-long stretch of waterfront nestled against the 76,000-acre Picayune Strand State Forest.
Lakes provide prime opportunities for kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding and scenic vistas from homes and amenities along the water’s edge.
Planned for 1,154 single-family homes, Naples Reserve’s resort-inspired amenities include the under-construction waterfront Lakeshore Club, fitness center, a lakefront tennis and pickleball complex, a linear park trail and neighborhood parks.
Naples Reserve is located off U.S. 41 East, 2 miles southeast of the Collier Boulevard/CR 951 intersection and 15 minutes from I-75, Exit 101. Furnished homes by Ashton Woods are open for viewing, and five custom-home models are under construction along a seven-acre interior lake in Parrot Cay.
