Naples Reserve celebrates end of season with Motown party

Residents of Naples Reserve, iStar’s 688-acre South Naples community of Southern Coastal-inspired attached villa, single-family and custom estate homes, gathered for a Motown Party to celebrate the end of season and kick off a summer of fun.

A lighted Motown-themed balloon arch greeted guests to a party area adorned with spinning disco ball centerpieces and actual Motown 45 rpm records. Grooving to the soulful sounds of Naples’ infamous Ex-Bachelors Band, more than 150 residents dined on soul food-style fare from Frisco’s Catering, including southern fried chicken, whipped potatoes with red-eye gravy and cornbread.

“This was our best-attended event yet,” said Naples Reserve’s Lifestyle and Fitness Director Carri Adam, who themes many of the events around activities and amenities offered in the community. “Everyone had a ball dancing the night away.”

Naples Reserve residents enjoy a full social calendar planned by Adam. Often, events are held at Naples Reserve’s $7 million Island Club social center, which features a 5,160-square-foot clubhouse and an adjacent 3,500-square-foot fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment and a movement studio for spinning, Zumba and yoga. An expansive, resort-style, zero-entry pool offers a tropical waterfall and dedicated lap lanes, and the lakefront Match Point tennis and pickleball complex provides friendly competition among neighbors.

Community events allow new residents to get to know their neighbors as they familiarize themselves with Naples Reserve’s amenities and all of the social opportunities offered within the community.

“Events are also a great way for friends to get together and try something new,” said Adam.

Recent summer activities included a Neighbors’ Night Out bus tour to Cape Coral’s Wicked Dolphin Rum Distillery and Big Blue Brewery, where residents learned how rum and beer are made from scratch.

Upcoming events planned by Adam include Funtastic Fridays at the community’s Tiki Bar and the Fourth of July BBQ.
