Lifestyle Draws in Families & Professionals

Naples Reserve’s home designs, lifestyle attract families and young professionals

Posted on March 28, 2017

Whether it’s the Southern Coastal-inspired homes equipped with home offices, or the appeal of a resort community lifestyle, Naples Reserve – the 688-acre South Naples community of attached villas, single-family homes and custom estate homes nestled amongst 22 freshwater lakes – is attracting homebuying families and young professionals.

For New Jersey natives Adam and Allison Recla, both in their early 40s, years of Marco Island vacations and the appeal of Southwest Florida’s temperate climate led them to making the move from Connecticut with their three children. The Reclas moved into their Naples Reserve home two days before Christmas last year.

“At Naples Reserve, the homes and the Island Club have that coastal architecture we love. Combine that with a landscape filled with lakes and palm trees and it feels like we’re living at a tropical resort!” said Adam Recla.

The Reclas chose the Ischia by Ashton Woods in the Egret Landing neighborhood. “We liked its elevation and metal roof, plus its modern finishes and quality,” said Allison Recla.

The couple was also attracted to the home’s lanai and pool area for family enjoyment, along with its four bedrooms and office, since Adam is able to work from home. “It’s a great respite to enjoy the community,” he said. “And refreshing to step out into paradise.”

Felipe and Cristina Duran, both 37, moved to Naples Reserve last spring after the company Felipe currently works for was expanding its presence.

When they started their new home search, Naples Reserve stood out among the other communities in several categories. Naturally, they were attracted to the community’s resort-style amenities.

“The look and feel of the community really appealed to us,” said Cristina Duran. The lot sizes and affordable and comprehensive HOA fees were added incentives, she added.

The Durans found their Naples Reserve home in the Savannah Lakes neighborhood: the three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath Patmos by Ashton Woods.

“We really liked the quality of construction, as well as the size of the bedrooms and other living areas compared to other communities we visited,” said Felipe. “We chose the Patmos because of its open design and its great lake views.”

With 2,542 square feet of living space and an expansive lanai, there is plenty of room for the couple to relax with their dogs. They are also looking forward to the dog parks, Paws Awhile and Walk & Wag, with the first one opening later this spring.

The Durans find themselves regularly taking advantage of the Island Club’s fitness center and pool. “We also enjoy our weekly Fire Pit Fridays!” said Cristina Duran.

The 3,500-square-foot fitness center offers state-of-the-art equipment and a movement studio for spinning, Zumba and yoga. An expansive, resort-style zero-entry pool that features dedicated lap lanes and ample room for relaxation.

Indoor and alfresco gathering areas at the Island Club include a lakeside fire pit and casual beverage and dining options at Chat ‘n Chill Tiki Bar and Latitudes Cafe.

At the Outrigger Center, paddleboards, kayaks and canoes are available for residents use, as well as a flex-space available for game days, special events and other activities. Cruises on the community’s two Duffy boats depart from the center’s floating docks for residents to explore the 125-acre Eagle Lake and Kontiki Island.

The lakefront Match Point complex, offering tennis and pickleball courts, as well as a community boating ramp, is nearing completion. Naples Reserve also offers residents the opportunity for a private boat dock on Eagle Lake.

Additional planned amenities include a tot lot, two dog parks – Walk & Wag opening in May and Paws Awhile in 2018 – and a meandering linear park for biking, hiking and jogging. Navigating a loop road circling Naples Reserve, the park is designed to engage residents with their natural environment and provide an alternative mode of transportation throughout the community.

Naples Reserve residents receive complimentary one-year social memberships at Walker’s Hideaway Marina of Naples, a yacht club along the Gordon River offering a marina, indoor storage for 600 boats, two waterside restaurants, outdoor pool and sauna, and access to Naples Bay.

Naples Reserve offers 17 fully decorated models available for viewing in seven of 11 planned neighborhoods built by Southwest Florida’s premier homebuilders, including Ashton Woods, D.R. Horton, Florida Lifestyle Homes, KTS Homes, Lundstrom Development, Marvin Development, McGarvey Custom Homes and Stock Signature Homes. Homes are priced from the high-$200s to more than $1 million.

Naples Reserve is located off U.S. 41, 2 miles southeast of the Collier Boulevard/CR 951 intersection and 10 minutes from I-75, Exit 101. Visit the community at 14885 Naples Reserve Circle or online at
